Performance – In the Shadow of the Birds
Description
An acrobatic street duo in which the men are like birds on a branch. Usually anchored to the ground, their pole here becomes a partner in its own right – alive and capricious.
A passer-by stumbles upon a guinguette table under a pergola. L’Ombre des Oiseaux has everything it needs to be an idyllic spot. Except perhaps a glass of water. But as in all stories of paradise, there is an ‘Other’. Nothing serious, but everything we thought we had all to ourselves now has to be shared. And there, with no shade to hide behind, everything is laid bare – from physical differences to character traits. Do you think a parasol would be enough? Plant one in paradise and everything starts to sway up to 7 metres high. Reality capsizes and the two men on board cling to each other to stay on their feet.
