The wooden Merry-go-round

This emblematic monument to fairground art dates from 1871and id the oldest known model in France and a principal exhibit in Les Gets Mechanical Music Museum collection.

It required total renovation to enable it to live under a new cover on the Place de la Maison des Gets all year long.
Now both adults and children can enjoy the hand carved animals, the gondolas, its fabrics painted by PM Coppier (a fairground painter from Annecy) and enjoy a ride to the tunes of its Limonaire organ. This unique piece has recently been registered as a Historic Monument.

The carousel will open on Sunday, December 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Then every day:
during school holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
outside of holidays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
